The Fear of 'Shani - askpanditji.com

Fear of Shani is the fear of the unknown. What we don't comprehend, we fear. But once we know the fairplay and the honest law-dispensing nature of this enigmatic planet, we set out to understand it, and appease it, rather than fear it. And in the bargain, we can get some mighty humungous rewards.

Of course, the downside of having an 'auditor' planet dispensing justice, is that if you do something wrong, you get punished for it.

Saturn, according to my research is perhaps the most wealth giving planet. In the horoscope it is the owner of house of karma and house of gains. The misconception of Saturn aka ‘Shani’ was manipulated by those who didn't understand astrology too well. Everyone who wants to learn astrology leans it their own way, without ever respecting and knowing deeply about the original text of astrology; which are simple and understandable. Some astrologers always want to make things complicated or make a simple ant into an elephant; this is why mere mention of Shani to the people and a shudder of fear runs down their spine, which is an uncalled for reaction.

Shani is the son of the Surya Dev (SUN) and Chhaya. Based on Hindu principles, he is among most powerful of the celestial gods. There is a story that says when he was born, an eclipse happened to the Sun God. This is the reason why many believe that he causes miseries to all human beings and brings bad luck.

This god is also feared because it is believed that he has the power to turn the richest king into a beggar and be able to change the destiny of those in pain and misery. In astrology the Mahadasa, the 'Sade-Sati and the 'Dhaiya’ of Saturn are looked on with awe, fear and dread. I feel that these sentiments are uncalled for in association with this planet because Saturn in reality is a true, honest and clear judge of a person's deeds -the Arbitrator, to be precise.

So what one must actually fear is one’s own karma and deeds, not the Judge. However, it is time to discard the myths associated with Saturn and to remove the prefix 'evil' from its name. Holding the celestial scales of justice he passes judgments on a person's deeds in the most impartial manner. In his court of law, justice is denied to no one. A murderer cannot call the judge evil for giving him a death sentence. The evil was committed by the murderer long before he was produced in the court of law.”

'As you sow, so you shall reap', so is the edict of Shani.
